Temporary Relaxing of Permissible Days & Times for Work in Middlesex Beach

The Governor’s Fifth Modification of the Declaration of a State of Emergency for the State of Delaware Due to a Public Health Threat dated March 24, 2020, allows construction contractors to continue working but requires them to follow social distancing orders. The order can be viewed here on the Governor’s website.

There are many projects in progress in MBA now, and we want them to continue and to be complete on time. In order to do this, we need to give our contractors the ability to continue work and to follow the Governor’s orders.

Effective immediately in Middlesex Beach, work may continue past the 6:00 PM departure time to allow for scheduling of workers and trades to comply with social distancing.

The arrival time of 8:00 AM remains in effect. The required completion date of June 30, 2020 remains in effect.

Please also remember that approved permits are required for all work including maintenance, repair, construction, fencing, trees, etc. These permit applications may be found at middlesexbeach.org or by contacting building@middlesexbeach.org.

This temporary relaxing of Permissible Days & Times will remain in effect until further notice.

As always, please let us know if you have questions or concerns.
