Dick Youniss was one of the original MB owners who built his house in 1968 on Bayberry Road. He enjoyed every summer with members of the community and with friends with whom he wanted to share this wonderful place. Dick was a clinical psychologist who taught at the Catholic University of America in DC until 1992 when he “retired” to switch careers by developing his artistic talent full time. His work, identified by the use of rich colors, graces many homes of people in tune with his aesthetic sense. He died in peace just weeks after reaching age 90, in the home he loved in Hyattsville, MD, and in peace, with a smile. Born in Fond du Lac, WI, and raised in Green Bay, he became a man of the world who absorbed its beauty and added what he could through his work, his friendships, and his gentlemanly manner.
