The below is from a recent email communication from the Town of Bethany Beach.
Bethany Beach will soon be decking the halls and hosting festive events throughout December.
The Annual Adult Get-Together for Bethany Beach property owners is Friday, November 30th in Town Hall from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. We invite you to meet and greet your neighbors in a festive social atmosphere complete with food, refreshments, and holiday music performed by Notes on the Beach.
On Saturday, December 1st, we officially kick off the season with Holiday Happenings in Town Hall, open to all and compliments of the Town. From 1:00-3:00 p.m., enjoy photos with Santa, face painting, and of course, cookies and hot cocoa. Horse-drawn wagon, beach tractor, and trolley rides through town will go until 4 p.m. At 5 p.m., gather at the bandstand plaza for the 4th annual lighting of the Holiday tree and caroling with The Remnants, the contemporary music group of Our Lady of Guadalupe. If you can’t join us, watch it on the West view beach cam via the Town website.
The fun doesn’t stop there thanks once again to a collaboration with the local business community. Every Saturday in December prior to Christmas, Weekend Wonderland in Bethany offers great shopping and fun activities. Participating merchants will be open from 10 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. with special incentives and chances to win prizes.
For your convenience, each Saturday a trolley will be running to and from the following pick-up locations in Bethany Beach: Bethany Beach Books, Grotto Pizza (next to the Nature Center), South Coastal Library, and the PNC Parking lot (Garfield Parkway) until 6:00 p.m.
In keeping with the true spirit of the season, attendees are encouraged to bring new or gently-used hats, gloves, scarves, and canned goods to the 5 p.m. tree events. There will be bins on site for collection. The items will be donated to area charities.
Check out the full list of activities on Bethany Beach’s website under Activities/Holiday Happenings or click here: https://www.
Please note that Town Hall will be closed on November 22 and 23 for Thanksgiving. We wish you a happy holiday season and hope you can join in the fun of these events!
