The Middlesex Beach Association Board of Directors’ yearly election for four (4) open seats will take place at the September 1, 2018 Community Meeting, as per our Bylaws.
Background
The Middlesex Beach Association Board of Directors consists of 9 members – 8 elected members and the Past President. Each elected member serves a two-year term with four Directors elected each year at the Fall Community Meeting. Four Directors will complete their current term on September 1, 2018—David Burgess, Jim Dempsey, Steve Larsen and Ellen Throop.
Requirements
Board meetings are held monthly, January through December, usually on the 2nd or 3rd Saturday at the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce Building located in Fenwick Island, DE. In addition to attendance at Board meetings, Board members serve on one or more of our various committees. Officers of the Board are elected by the new Board after the Community Meeting.

If you would like to be a candidate for the Board, or if you wish to nominate a candidate for the Board, please email Sharon Adams (Chair of the Nomination Committee) at [email protected] indicating that interest. You can also fill out our online Nomination Form. If you choose to nominate someone other than yourself, please be certain that person is willing to serve. All candidates must be a registered property owner in Middlesex Beach. Candidates will submit a short biography which will be included with the election ballot in the mid-August mailing to all MB property owners. Nominations may also be made at the Fall Community Meeting on September 1, but keep in mind that any absentee ballots will have already been submitted and counted.
