Proposed changes to speed bumps/humps along Short Rd

Note: while the Board has developed a plan that calls for roughly evenly sized and spaced speed humps on each pineside road, these modifications for the most part will be done as the roads are paved. Our contractor has advised us that when paving an entire street, they prefer to remove any existing speed devices first, pave the road, THEN install speed humps.

We currently plan to repave Addy Rd in the spring of 2026, and will modify the speed humps on that road at that time. Our current long-term plan is to repave a pineside road every other year (finishing in 2034), but the exact order has not yet been determined and the plan may be accelerated. However, because of complaints about the existing layout of the speed bumps and humps along Short Rd, the Board has agreed to install 4 evenly sized and spaced speed humps on this road in the spring of 2026, and remove what's currently in place (speed humps that line up with an existing bump would be used as the base for the new hump). It should be noted that Short Rd would still be on the list for paving in the future, and speed humps would be redone at that time.
Existing speed bump adjacent 23/24 Short. This location will have a new speed hump. The speed bump at the next driveway in the middle will be removed.
Exising speed bump adjacent 17/18 Short. This location will have a new speed hump.
Existing speed bump adjacent 11/12 Short; the driveway is between the mailbox and camera. Even spacing would put a new speed hump slightly west of this location. The speed bump in the distance (between #9&10) will be removed.
Existing speed bump adjacent 5/6 Short. This location will have a new speed hump Even spacing would put a new speed hump slightly west of this location. Slightly more room is available between the driveways at #12 and #11. The speed bump in the middle distance (between #3&4) will be removed.
