An emergency is defined to be an unexpected and immediate threat to people or property which if left un-remediated may result in injury, death or loss of property. Work, which would normally require a permit, but can be defined as an “Emergency” by the above definition may proceed temporarily without the formal permit by following these procedures. Upon discovery of the Emergency, repairs to prevent further damage may begin immediately by Owners or their agents. Owners shall, as soon as practical, but not later than seven (7) calendar days from discovery of the Emergency, notify the President of the Association of the type and extent of the Emergency. This can be done by filling out the below form or calling the President at (301) 526-5476. The emergency nature of the situation must be mitigated or fixed within 7 days. If it is not completed within the 7 days, the normal permitting process for projects is required to be used.
